And remember, your life is not an accident. You have a destiny.
We are created by God and for God. He loved us before He created the world. Jesus clearly stated that the two greatest commandments are to love God and to love people. Our lives should reflect our love for God and for one another.
Christ should be at the center of our lives. We surrender to Him to be a vessel where lives in and through us. We want our desires and our decisions to be according to His will and His purpose. We choose to joyfully submit to the Holy Spirit and allow His fruit to be manifested in our lives (Galatians 5:22-23).
We have a clear mandate from God to share the gospel and make disciples of all people. Jesus calls us to follow Him (Matthew 4:19). We invite others to join us on the same journey while teaching them along the way to become true followers of Christ. We share Jesus with our words and with our actions. We are intentional in this journey of reaching and discipling people in order to change the world one life at a time.
Jesus is the perfect servant leader who reflects the heart of His Father - full of compassion, love, and grace. He entered our world to be our Savior and Lord, but He also came as a humble servant desiring to serve rather than to be served. We follow Him by serving others while leading them to live a life of service and sacrifice for the glory of God.
It is vitally important to continuously grow our relationship with God. Each day, we draw closer to God through prayer, studying of His word and obedience to His leadership. As a result of us growing closer to God, He gives us a desire to grow in every area of our lives, enabling us to become the person God calls us to be in our families, careers, service, or wherever He leads us or in whatever He entrusts to us.
Embracing unity and peace is the responsibility of every believer and a vital part of God’s plan for the church. Unity is impossible without humility. A unified church is pleasing to God and He is glorified when we live as one church, one body, one family where love , grace, and truth are experienced on a continuous basis. (John 13:34; Colossians 3:12-14)
God is honored when we give Him our best in everything we do. Whether we are at church, school, job, or home; or whether we are managing our finances, our time, our relationships, or our service to others - everything in our lives should be done with excellence and for His glory, so that “whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.” (Colossians 3:23)
There is only One True God, revealed in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity). The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22).
Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity and shares the same honor and position as the Father and the Son. Baptism in the Holy Spirit, which should be earnestly sought by every believer, provides a person with the enduement of power for life and service (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4, 8).
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and is honored equally with the Father. Based on the Scriptures, we believe the following truths about Jesus Christ: 1. His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31, 35) 2. His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22) 3. His miracles (Acts 2:22; 10:38) 4. His substitutionary work on the cross (1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21) 5. His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; 1Corinthians 15:4) 6. His exaltation to the right hand of God (Acts 1:9, 11; 2:33; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:3)
Man was created good and upright; for God said, “Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness.” However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. (Genesis 1:26,27; Genesis 2:17; Genesis 3:6; Romans 5:12-19).
Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life. (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8; Titus 2:11; Titus 3:5-7).
The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence is a life of righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:24; Titus 2:12)
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
Healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:16,17; James 5:14-16). Spiritual gifts serve as an integral part of the ministry and operation of the church and are distributed to the believers as Holy Spirit wills. (1Corinthians 12 – 14).
Our life should reflect the character of Christ and should bring glory to God. It should serve as an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God. (Romans 12:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 12:14; 13:12; 1 Peter 1:15,16).
As the church we recognize our mandate given by Jesus to spread the good news of the gospel (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20). We strive to be a body of believers that worship God with sincerity and purity (John 4:23-24). We believe in providing the structure where believers can be equipped and trained for the work of service (Ephesians 4:11-16). We intend to be a channel through which God’s love and compassion can flow to the world around us. (Galatians 2:10; 6:10; James 1:27).
Prior to His return to Earth Jesus will rapture His Church. At this moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51,52). When Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming, He will begin His rule over earth for 1,000 years (Zechariah 14:5; Matthew 24:27,30; Revelation 1:7; 19:11-14; 20:1-6). This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel (Ezekiel 37:21,22; Romans 11:26,27) and the establishment of universal peace (Isaiah 11:6-9; Psalm 72:3-8; Micah 4:3,4). Those who rejected Christ will be cast into a lake of fire (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20; 20:11-15; 21:8). But for those who accepted Him, Christ prepared new heavens and a new earth. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21, 22)
Worship is one of the core foundations of Destiny Christian Fellowship. Our desire is to use our songs and music to help people connect with God in a greater way.
Our worship combines contemporary style with the elements of traditional flavor.
We believe real life change happens in the context of authentic relationships, which is why we are a church made up of small groups. In the Bible, they worshiped in the temple, but personal ministry happened “house to house.”
Small groups provide:
A place to CONNECT with others.
A place to PROTECT each other.
A place to GROW together.
Our primary goal is to lead our young people into developing their personal relationship with Jesus Christ by helping them discover God’s purpose for them and equipping them to live it out in their daily life. Our desire is to see EACH of them live lives pleasing to the Lord, WALKING according to His ways, bearing FRUIT in their lives, and GROWING in their love and knowledge of Him.
Our mission is to equip children with a foundation of faith that allows them to grow in their relationship with God and inspires them to share the message of Christ with others.
